The Virginia Creeper Trail ~ This 34 mile trail from Whitetop to Abingdon, VA is open to mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding but is best known for its biking.  It meanders through forests, fields and along beautiful creeks and is an enjoyable ride for the whole family.

Grayson Highlands State Park ~ Grayson Highlands is one  of Virginia’s largest state parks and offers excellent hiking, horseback riding and biking trails along with a picnic area, visitor center, weekly interpretive programs and magnificent views. Don’t miss the popular Wild Ponies!

Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area ~ Home to the highest point in Virginia, Mt. Rogers at 5,729 ft., MRNRA manages over 20,000 acres of the highest land in Virginia. The famous Virginia Highlands Horse Trail meanders through dense hardwood forest and through open fields that showcase breathtaking views.

Whitetop Mountain ~ You can drive to the top of Whitetop, the second tallest peak in Virginia at 5,520ft. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding Appalachian Mountain range and is ideal for watching the sunset and stargazing.
